In this Eurocamp Le Mané Guernehué review, we’ll share our experience of spending a week in July at Camping Le Mané Guernehué in Brittany on a sponsored stay with Eurocamp. As we have both a teenager and a 4 year old, we have to make sure that the holiday parc we choose suits both kids. This summer we wanted somewhere that wasn’t too big but still had a lot of the facilities that would keep both Kai, our 4 year old and Lily our 13 year old happy.
I have to say we were pleasantly surprised by Le Mané Guernehué and it managed to exceed all of our expectations! They have an entire new selection of outdoor water slides, evening entertainment, great facilities, loads of activities on site to keep kids busy and a layout that meant nothing was ever too far away. It struck the perfect balance between offering plenty to do while remaining easy to navigate and never feeling overcrowded.

Getting There
Flying
- We flew into Nantes airport
- It was a 1 hour drive from Nantes to the campsite

We chose to fly into Nantes and spent 3 nights exploring the city before heading to the Eurocamp. It meant we could have a bit of a city break and a day at Puy De Fou Theme Park before heading for a relaxing week at the holiday Parc.
Ferry Options from Ireland & UK
- From Ireland you can get Brittany Ferries from Cork to Roscoff or Rosslare to Cherbourg.
- From Ireland you can get Irish Ferries from Dublin to Cherbourg.
- From UK you can get Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to St Malo or Plymouth.
- You can also organise your ferry with Stenaline from the UK through Eurocamp themselves when you make your booking.
First Impressions of the Park
We arrived to the park at approximately 4 PM after our 1 hour 30 minute drive and parked up near the reception so we could check in. Check in was very efficient and the staff were really friendly. For this campsite you get your wristbands for the waterslides, give your car registration for the automatic barrier and get all of the park information from the main holiday park reception before heading down to the Eurocamp office inside the park for your holiday home keys.
The staff at reception gave us loads of information and there was an abundance of leaflets and maps for the surrounding area. Once we checked in they gave us a map to show us where our holiday home was. We drove to our Eurocamp holiday home, which was a very short drive and parked up outside. We then met the equally as friendly Eurocamp Rep who welcomed us and gave us our keys.
Overall were really impressed with how the holiday park looked, it was a good size but also didn’t feel overwhelming. It also didn’t appear to be overly busy, which was really nice. The park seemed extremely clean and our Eurocamp holiday home was absolutely spotless (more on our accommodation shortly!)
Accommodation
We stayed in a Premium 3 bedroom holiday home from Eurocamp. This comes with a double bedroom and two twin rooms. It also has a toilet, bathroom with shower and a large kitchen/dining/living room area. The kitchen came with a hob, microwave and dishwasher (this was such a bonus). The piece de resistance was a Nespresso coffee machine. My favourite thing though was the large outdoor decking. This had a table and chairs for eating and a large L-shaped couch area with small table for relaxing at. We spent so much time on the outside deck during our stay. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner most days out here. We also spent so much time time relaxing, playing games, and having a drink. It’s also the perfect thing to have for when your kids go to sleep and you want to relax together.
It also came with an outdoor grill so we could really experience the outdoor vibes! Perfect for grilling steaks, burgers and some fresh seafood! Make sure to check out my Instagram reel here, where I do a full video tour of the accommodation.
We’ve stayed in a lot of Eurocamp’s over the years and I have to say I was so impressed by this holiday home. It was absolutely spotlessly clean and very modern. It had an abundance of plug and USB sockets and everything seemed so new! There was plenty of space throughout the holiday home so we could store all of our clothes and other bits. The bathroom was really modern with plenty of hot water and a really powerful shower.
The holiday home had plenty of privacy too and wasn’t right on top of the other guests.
The Pool Complex
The pool complex has recently been upgraded with some new slides which we were delighted with. They have a huge range, which was perfect for our our teenager Lily. 6 new slides were added to the park recently. These included body racer slides, a buoy/ring slide with fun twists, turns. There is also a fully enclosed tube slide and a super fast drop slide.
This complex has a full length pool for doing lengths and activities such as aqua aerobics. A large pool with different jets where you can swim and have fun. A kids paddling pool, kids splash park and lazy river are perfect for the little ones. It also has a heated indoor pool that you could walk into directly from the outdoor pool area. This list doesn’t even include the slide!
Kai’s favourite parts were the lazy river, the splash area with slides, water jets and a tipping bucket. He also loved the indoor pool which felt like a warm bath, it was fabulous! As Brittany can sometimes be a little unpredictable weather-wise, it was really nice to have the indoor pool as an option.
One thing to bare in mind is that food and drink aren’t allowed in the pool area all. This means you do need to come out to the bar or restaurant if you want food or drink. I actually thought this worked really well in the end. It meant there were never people hogging sunloungers all day. We also never saw any drunk people, which is always something I try to avoid when picking a family pool holiday.
There were plenty of sunloungers available all around the swimming pool complex with extra chairs available to use as well. Sometimes we didn’t go to the pool until late morning or after lunch and we never once had trouble finding somewhere for us all to sit.
Facilities Around the Park
While the pool was our favourite part of the holiday parc, it wasn’t the only thing it had to offer. There were so many activities to keep us busy during out week there. The poolside bar had activities on every evening, from Bingo, to a magic show, to Karaoke, kids discos and evening shows. There was also a kids club onsite, but we didn’t use this as it’s for age 5+ and Kai was 4 at the time. There was also daytime activities that took place such as aqua aerobics and boules tournaments.
The playpark was also a great addition and meant that parents could enjoy an evening drink while the kids played. For the U10’s there is a large bouncy castle/trampoline park, which we spent a lot of time at. There is 3 large bouncy castles with slides, a mini-softplay, trampolines and a climbing frame. These are all free to use, which is excellent! This area also never felt over-crowded, even though the parc was full during our last couple of days.
The park has a large selection of sports and activities such as:

Food and Dining
This campsite has a main restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner and also a takeaway where you can get some pizza and chips. The takeaway also has full cooked chickens, which you can order the night before, which is super handy for bringing back to your holiday home.
We ate in the restaurant on the first night and found the food to be excellent quality. There was loads to choose from and it was really good value. I got the caesar salad and Ross had the mussels, which he really enjoyed. We even got a little welcome cocktail when we arrived, which is always a nice touch! We also had takeaway pizza and chips on a different evening and it was again really delicious and a perfect way to end a day at the pool.
Another really popular thing was the Crepes and ice cream available from the restaurant, which my kids begged for everyday! You can’t visit France though and not stuff yourself with crepes 🙂
The holiday parc also has an onsite shop that sells all of the essentials from milk and break to cheese, drinks, meats and frozen food. They also had fresh pastries and bakes bread in the mornings. Ross and Kai drove down to get these everyone morning for our breakfast. The pain au chocolate were to die for!!
Why we Loved Le Mane Guernehue
We loved that this parc was small enough that we got to know other people staying there as we would see them most nights. This made it really easy for the kids to make friends. But at the same time, the parc never felt too small. There was so much to on offer to keep everyone entertained but we also were able to truly relax and spend time together as a family.
The parc felt really French and genuine and it was just a lovely atmosphere!
Things to do Near Le Mane Guernehue
There is plenty to do in the area if you have a car and want to get out and about. The town of Baden is less than 1 KM away and is easily walkable or driveable. There is also a Carrefour supermarket in the town of Baden, so it’s perfect for doing your big shop!
Here are some of the things that we did during our week stay:
- Stroll to the town of Baden for a wander around and to have some crepes in the cafe.
- Kingoland Theme Park
- Carnac is a 30 minute drive away – it has lovely streets to wander around with some delicious restaurants. The ‘Grande Plage’ beach is lovely and sandy and perfect for a dip.
- Vannes – This is a gorgeous medieval town only a 25 minute drive away. I definitely recommend going there for their market, which is on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8-1:30. The town also has a busy marina with plenty of bars and restaurants.
- Gulf on Morbihan – We didn’t make it on our trip but it was on the list and will definitely do it next time. There are lots of little islands that you can get a boat to for a couple of hours or go on a cruise around them. It looks like the perfect day out.
Who we think this Campsite is Best for
Le Mané Guernehué is ideal for families with children of different ages. It has enough facilities and activities to keep older children and teenagers entertained, while still offering plenty for younger children through the splash park, playground and indoor pool. It’s also a great choice for families who enjoy getting out and exploring, with beautiful towns such as Vannes and Carnac within easy reach. If you’re looking for a lively but not overwhelming holiday park in Brittany, this is a fantastic option.
Le Mane Guernehue: Our Final Verdict
If you’re looking for a family-friendly holiday park that caters to children of all ages, Camping Le Mané Guernehué is hard to beat. It manages to offer all the facilities and activities of a much larger parc without ever feeling busy, overwhelming or overcrowded.
For us, that was the biggest selling point. Kai spent hours in the splash park, lazy river and trampoline area, while Lily loved the new waterslides, evening entertainment and tree tops course. As parents, we appreciated how easy everything was to access, the relaxed atmosphere, and the fact that we could always find a sunbed, a table in the restaurant or a quiet spot to unwind.
The accommodation was modern and comfortable, the facilities were excellent, the staff were friendly, and there was plenty to do both on the parc and in the surrounding area. Whether you want a week packed with activities or simply somewhere to relax and spend quality time together as a family, Camping Le Mané Guernehué delivers.
Would we return? Absolutely. In fact, it’s one of the few Eurocamp parcs we’ve visited where we were already talking about coming back before the holiday was even over.
